JUNIOR ATHLETES ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION WORKSHOP – ST. JAMES

(L-r) Vilma Charlton, 4th Vice President, Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) and Vanessa Reid, Director, Communication and Education, Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), engage in dialogue with Shanice Webster,  student, St. James High and Savion Reid, student,  Spot Valley High in  Montego Bay and Dr. Garfield Campbell, Medical Practitioner at the Junior Athletes Anti-Doping Education Workshop, held at The Wexford Hotel on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.JADCO collaborated with the JAAA to host the fourth in the series of five workshops which will be held islandwide. As a result of the workshop, participants were able to increase their knowledge of the role of JADCO, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Jamaica Anti-Doping Programme. They were also informed of the Doping Control Process, banned substances and the role of support staff.
