Miss Claudette Jones is a retired Principal Lecturer from Church Teachers’ College in Manchester. She holds a Bachelors degree in Educational Administration and a Masters Degree in Sports Management.
She is currently the President of the Jamaica Physical Education Association and has travelled widely both regionally and internationally representing Jamaica at conferences, workshops and seminars. She has also presented papers on aspects of physical education and sport.
She was honoured by the Government of Jamaica in 2015, when she received the Prime Ministers’ Medal of Appreciation for Service to Education. She was also honuored by the International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance (ICHPER.SD) with a Gold Medal of Honuor and Outstanding Contribution Award at the World Congress held in Kagoshima, Japan in 2008.
Miss Jones has worked with the Manchester Cricket Association and the Ministry of Health on several projects. She is an avid sports fan and also gives her service to other community organisations.
