Registered Testing Pool (RTP) and Criteria
The Registered Testing Pool is the group of top level athletes established separately by each International Federation and National Anti-Doping Organisation who are subject to both in-competition and out-of-competition testing as part of that International Federation or Organisation's Test Distribution Plan.
Under the World Anti-Doping Programme, each national anti-doping organisation must designate a pool of athletes who are subject to the highest level of anti-doping rules. JADCO is responsible for establishing and maintaining Jamaica’s Registered Testing Pool (RTP).
JADCO’s RTP is made up of Jamaica’s top athletes. A number of criteria are considered for inclusion in JADCO’s RTP. Among those criteria are athletes who compete at a national and/or international level, athletes who compete in a sport with a higher doping risk and athletes who are highly ranked in their sporting discipline. Athletes included in JADCO’s RTP are more likely to be tested and have more stringent requirements under the JADCO rules as it relates to Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and the submission of their whereabouts information.
All athletes listed below have been included in JADCO’s Registered Testing Pool and therefore must make quarterly whereabouts filings. Athletes not included on the list below are not required to make an individual whereabouts submission at this time. Please note that, at the discretion of JADCO, athletes can be added or removed from the RTP at any time. Should an athlete’s status change, they will be notified prior to the start of the next whereabouts submission deadline.
