She was a key figure in the development of Jamaica’s National Youth Development Programme and coordinated the establishment of the Government’s flagship Health, Life and Personal Accident Insurance Plan for over 1500 National Level athletes spanning 33 sporting disciplines. Among her achievements is the coordination of Jamaica’s largest Technical Cooperation Project on Sport Coaching which included training for 138 athletes, coaches and managers across 7 sporting disciplines.
She has special skills in information dissemination, problem solving, communication, behaviour change management and team building.
Suzzette stumbled into social development having taught at the secondary level for 2 years and realizing that she wanted to be part of the transformation of lives in some other way than in academics. In her drive to contribute to the empowerment of young people, she has undertaken research and has authored 4 unpublished papers in the field of youth development.
This full-time wife, mother and public servant enjoys gardening, cooking, crafting and painting which helps to centre her.
She is married to one husband and is happiest when she is at home spending time with him and her two children.
