The occasion was the Junior Athletes Anti-Doping Education Workshop for athletes and athlete support personnel from schools in Manchester, St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland, which was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the St. Elizabeth Technical High School.

JADCO is increasing its public education initiatives during the month of October by hosting five Junior Athletes Anti-Doping Education Workshops across the island.As a result of the workshop, participants were able to increase their knowledge of the role of JADCO, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Jamaica Anti-Doping Programme. They were also informed of the doping control process, banned substances and the importance of proper nutrition.
