ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION FOR NURSES

The workshop, held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, targeted junior athletes and athlete support personnel from schools in Westmoreland, Hanover, St. James and Trelawny. JADCO is increasing its public education initiatives during the month of October by hosting five Junior Athletes Anti-Doping Education Workshops across the island.As a result of the workshop, participants were able to increase their knowledge of the role of JADCO, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Jamaica Anti-Doping Programme. They were also informed of the doping control process, banned substances and the importance of proper nutrition.
